Each week, check back with The Dan K Show as Joshua Boyd breaks down the past week's top performances from 2007 and younger U.S. junior players (2008 and younger for USPHL Elite and EHL Premier).
Nov. 10-16
USHL
Boston University recruit and 2027 NHL Draft prospect Jamie Glance '08 had a huge mid-November weekend coming off of a six-point showing in four games at the Five Nations Tournament. Playing for the U.S. National Under-18 Team, he had his best single-game performance in two USHL seasons, registering a 1-4-5 line on Nov. 15. With eight points in seven games, he is tied for the U.S. NTDP scoring lead with 2026 NHL Draft prospect Victor Plante. Glance is a two-time USA Hockey Nationals alum, playing with Mount St. Charles Academy there at the 14U and 15U levels.
First featured here in September and recently featured on the "U-Show", Jason Musa '07 has pulled into the Top 10 of USHL scoring with 19 points on the season, his second with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders. He scored his first USHL hat trick on Nov. 15, one night after posting two assists, giving him five points for the two games of Nov. 14-15. His eight goals this season have already bypassed the six he scored in 2024-25. A former Hartford Jr. Wolfpack AAA and Trinity-Pawling School player, he has 44 points in 79 combined regular season and playoff games in the USHL. The University of Massachusetts recruit was a 2023 USHL Draft pick by the RoughRiders (sixth round, 86th overall).
Sioux City defenseman Shayne Gould '07 returns here after extending his point streak to six games (3-5-8), including a 1-3-4 line Nov. 14-15. With 15 points in 19 games, he is tied for the USHL lead in points by defensemen. His 15 points also have bypassed the 10 points he had in 2024-25 with the Musketeers. Formerly with the Bishop Kearney Selects, the UConn recruit was selected by the Chicago Steel in the 2023 USHL Draft (third round, 45th overall). He made three USA Hockey Nationals appearances at the following levels: 14U (Rhode Island Saints), 15U and 16U (both with Bishop Kearney).
In net, Sioux City's Jack Fichthorn '07 went 1-1 over the past week, stopping an impressive 56 of 60 shots. The win on Nov. 15, in which he stopped 32 of 34 shots, helped him even his record at 4-4-0-0 on the season. Fichthorn is a former Mid-Fairfield Jr. Rangers standout, who represented the Rangers at the 2023-24 USA Hockey 16U Nationals.
NAHL
The Chippewa Steel's Anthony Preskar '07 has been on a hot streak - putting up seven points in a five-game point streak - with much of those points coming Nov. 14-15 with a 1-3-4 line. He has six goals, tied for the team lead. His Nov. 14 goal was his first NAHL game-winner in a two-year career. His 10 points this year are also already double his 2024-25 output.
Josh Bostedo '08 is a recent addition to the Steel, after starting the season with Johnstown. In his first two games with Chippewa Nov. 14-15, Bostedo registered a goal and two assists. An Army recruit, Bostedo joined the NAHL this year from Lovell Hockey and also has USA Hockey Nationals experience with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 14U team. He currently has four points in six NAHL games.
With eight points in a five-game streak, Rylan Bydal '07 is also red-hot for the Anchorage Wolverines. He chalked up a 1-3-4 line and improved to 24 points in 21 games of this, his rookie season. The former Team North Dakota player who represented that squad at the USA Hockey 15U Nationals in 2023, Rylan is second only to his '05 brother Luc in Wolverines scoring.
In net, Ryan Denes '07 went 2-0 by stopping 52 of 56 shots faced on the Nov. 14-15 weekend. Denes, playing for the Maryland Black Bears, leads the NAHL in wins with 11 - including a current streak of three straight W's. He's also second in goals against average at 1.77 and holds a top 10 save percentage of .924. Denes made the USA Hockey Nationals three times with three different clubs - Rhode Island Saints 14U, Long Island Gulls 16U and Little Caesars 16U. He won with the Gulls in 2023, and was a Rhode Island Saints teammate of the USHL's Shayne Gould.
NCDC
Universel Quebec's Gabriel Boivin '08 remains tied for the league lead in scoring with 29 points through 16 games. On Nov. 14, he scored his second NCDC hat trick for a 3-1-4 line, which was his total line for the two games of last weekend. Boivin is a USPHL Premier alum, having played for Universel Sherbrooke last year.
Another Premier veteran in Charles Martel '07, who was with College Universel Gatineau last year, racked up a goal and four assists for five points in his past two games for Universel Quebec. He has improved to 22 points in 23 games.
Len-Thomas Wright '07 only recently joined the first-year Lewiston MAINEiacs, making his NCDC debut on Nov. 8. After starting in the NAHL with the New Hampshire Mountain Kings, he has made an immediate impact in five NCDC games. He recently scored a 3-1-4 line Nov. 13-14, and currently has four points in four games for his new team. Wright also played briefly in the NAHL last season after a full campaign for the Chicago Reapers AAA program.
Gavin Greniuk '07 had a huge pair of victories for CT Chiefs North last week. The former Elk River/Zimmerman high school goalie from Minnesota stopped a total of 74 of 78 shots on Nov. 10 and 14. His 39 saves on 41 shots on Nov. 10 was a season (and junior career) best. He has improved to 5-3-0-0 with a 2.42 GAA and a .918 save percentage. Greniuk made his junior debut last season with one game for the NAHL's Aberdeen Wings.
EHL
Ernests Muska '07 is ranked second in EHL scoring for a reason - because he never stops scoring. Muska's scoring streak extended to a seventh straight game, with multiple points in each of those going back to Nov. 1. For the three games of Nov. 12-15, he put up a 3-6-9 run, which includes three of five goals scored in four straight games. The Latvian import stands at 32 points in 18 games for HC Rhode Island, including a run of 6-16-22 in the seven games of November so far.
One point and one place in the leaderboard behind Muska is HC Rhode Island teammate Aiden Forcier '07. Although a nine-game point streak was snapped Nov. 14, Forcier still registered a 2-5-7 line from the Nov. 12 and 15 games. Forcier, a former Prout School standout, now has 31 points in 18 games, helping HC Rhode Island to an active 11-game winning streak.
HC Rhode Island defenseman Jack Fraser '07 moved into first among EHL defensemen in scoring with 19 points in 15 games, following a run of 2-4-6 in his last three games. The former Norwich Hockey Academy AAA defenseman is on an active five-game point streak with 10 points over that stretch dating back to Nov. 7.
Fraser's former Prout School and current HC Rhode Island teammate Angelo Evangelista '07 rose to second in the league in save percentage at .944, following his fourth straight win and also his second shutout of the season. For the games of Nov. 14-15, he stopped 39 of 40, including all 16 faced on Nov. 14. He is also fourth in goals against average at 1.56 and holds a 5-1-1-0 record.
USPHL Premier
Christmas came in October for the Tampa Bay Juniors, whose newcomer Jakub Miroslav Kurka '08 made his junior and North American debut on Oct. 11. Recently, he put together a run of 3-5-8 in three games between Nov. 13-15, against three different opponents. Kurka improved to 10 points in nine games, joining this year from Czechia's HC Prerov 17U team.
The Toledo Cherokee's Jacob Myers '07 has been here before, and deserves mention again for his run of 2-5-7 in just two games Nov. 15-16, which helped him up to 35 points in 17, bypassing the 32 points he posted last season in 41 games.
Two players put up equal 4-2-6 lines in two games - second-year Henderson Force Reese Hicks '07, who's been in this column before, doing so on Nov. 10-11; and Demetry Inglis '07 of the Hanna Havoc, who also registered his second hat trick in just eight games, giving him a line of 13-6-19 over eight contests for Hanna.
In net, Louvik Fauteux '09 put together a fantastic 39-save shutout performance on Nov. 14 for Universel Sherbrooke. He moved up from the USPHL Elite, playing there last year for College Universel Gatineau.
NA3HL
Not unlike those later additions above like Demetry Inglis and Jakub Miroslav Kurka, we have another October newcomer in New Jersey Titans forward Ivan Korshikov '08. He played his first NA3HL game Oct. 25, and has since registered 12 goals and 16 points in nine games. This includes his recent run of seven goals and two assists for nine points in three games. The seven goals were spread over three games, part of a four-game goal-scoring streak. Korshikov played last year for Atlantic Coast Academy AAA.
Reid Lezubski '08 set up a 3-3-6 line in two games Nov. 14-15 for the Great Falls Americans. Lezubski improved to 15 points, thanks in large part to a 2-3-5 performance on Nov. 14 alone. Lezubski joined the Americans from the Calgary Rockies 17U team of the Junior Prospects Hockey League.
In his first game since Nov. 2, Emerson Laroche '07 racked up four goals and one assist for a season-and career-best five-point outing on Nov. 15 for the Louisiana Drillers. Laroche improved to 55 points overall in 17 games to rank seventh in NA3HL scoring, and he has points in each of the 17 games.
Granite City Lumberjacks goalie Nathan Mach '07 had one heck of an NA3HL debut. The former Omaha Mastery AAA goalie turned aside all 35 shots he faced for a shutout and win in his debut on Nov. 15. He has previously seen NAHL time in 2023-24 and also one game this year with the Minnesota Wilderness.
EHLP
Colin Daigler '08 is in the top 10 for scoring, thanks in large part to his second hat trick and a 6-4-10 run over five games Nov. 11-16. The highlight was his 3-2-5 performance on Nov. 15. The second-year Connecticut Nor'Easters forward now has 22 points in 18 games, and earned his first EHL call-up on Oct. 29.
Tomass Vekselis '08 was goal-happy with five goals in two games, including a four-goal outburst on Nov. 14. Playing for the New Jersey 87's, he brought up his point total to 15, tied for the team lead. Vekselis joined this year from EHC Basel in Switzerland.
Meanwhile, New Jersey Bears dynamo Dominic Moushon '08 improved to a league-leading 37 points in 17 games, following a 1-4-5 line Nov. 14 and 15. His 2.18 points per game is also No. 1 in the league among players with at least 10 games played. He has points in 14 straight games.
USPHL Elite
The Hampton Roads Whalers' Eric Kloss '08 has moved into a tie for the league lead in scoring with 31 points in 20 games, and he's also the sole leader in goals with 19, nearly averaging one goal per game. Kloss, a former Tri-State Spartans AAA player, had his third four-point game of the season on Nov. 16 and finished the weekend with a 3-2-5 line.
Cameron Omicioli '09 had his best game of eight played so far for the South Shore Kings, scoring a 2-1-3 line on Nov. 12. He has four points in eight games since joining from the Mount St. Charles Academy AAA 15U team of 2024-25.
His fellow King Tucker Watkins '09 posted a 1-2-3 line in that same Nov. 12 game, his first back with the Elite after earning a single-game call-up with the Premier Kings on Nov. 5. Watkins now has a team-leading 12 goals and 17 points in 16 games. His 12 goals put him in a tie for eighth league-wide.
Nicholas Simpkins '08 posted his best game of the year, a 1-2-3 line on Nov. 15. He also earned a call-up to the Premier Patriots team. He played in 2024-25 for the Bold City Battalion Elite team, where he scored 26 points in 44 games, and he has nine points in 14 Elite games this year.
